Homa Bay Police Officer and Three Children Found Dead; Police Probe

Police reported that Police Constable David Okebe Goga and three children were found dead at a home in Rachuonyo West, Homa Bay County, on April 6, 2025. The deaths were investigated as a suspected murder-suicide, but early reports are not a substitute for a final investigative finding.

Goga was attached to Marsabit Police Station. News reports citing police said the children included two of his children and a child from his extended family. We are not publishing the children’s names or additional personal details.

Police said they recovered a handwritten note and were examining it as part of the investigation. The note contained private claims and references to family, work and violence.
