Ulinzi Stars and Kenya Police FC shared the points in a 1-1 SportPesa League draw at the Ulinzi Sports Complex on February 15, 2026.
How the goals came
Kenya Police took the lead in first-half stoppage time through Edward Omondi, who scored in the 45th minute plus one. Ulinzi responded after the break when Telena Ochieng equalised in the 53rd minute.
The official league record confirms the 1-1 result, while match data also lists Omondi and Ochieng as the goalscorers.
Why the derby mattered
The fixture carried more than local bragging rights because both teams were competing for league position in the second half of the 2025/26 season. A draw meant neither side took the maximum three points, increasing the importance of subsequent fixtures.
How the teams finished the season
The draw gave each club one point in February. In the completed 2025–26 league table, Kenya Police finished third with 55 points while Ulinzi Stars finished 13th with 41. Those final positions provide season context; they do not mean this single match determined either club’s placing.
