Willem Uijen, Unilever Chief Supply Chain and Operations Officer, emphasised the centrality of technology in driving value creation:

“As brands are increasingly discovered and chosen in environments shaped by AI, we must lead this shift,” he said, noting that the partnership will set new standards for AI-driven commerce and growth in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.

Tara Brady, President EMEA at Google Cloud, added that the collaboration aims to modernize legacy systems while deploying advanced AI models such as Gemini to create intelligent systems capable of reasoning, learning, and acting across business processes.

The collaboration focuses on three strategic pillars:

  1. Agentic commerce and marketing intelligence – Enhancing brand discovery, conversion, and performance measurement through next-generation marketing capabilities.
