Machakos, Kenya — Comedian and digital content creator Sammy Kioko has shared an emotional update regarding his ongoing dispute with Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti and the county government over delayed payments for services previously rendered.

In a social media post published on the night of Thursday, February 5, 2026, Kioko disclosed that his sister spent nearly twelve hours outside the governor’s office seeking assistance, but no official came forward to address her concerns.

According to the comedian, the prolonged silence has placed immense emotional and financial strain on his family, especially as they continue to pursue medical treatment for his sister.

“Your silence is deafening. She has been at your office gate for 12 hours with no one willing to listen or help,” Kioko wrote.

Kioko stated that he had exhausted all formal channels in an effort to reach the governor, including attending multiple meetings that ended with assurances which were never fulfilled. He said this left him with no option but to raise the issue publicly.

“I’ve exhausted all avenues. The endless meetings and empty promises have drained us. We need the truth, even if it hurts,” he added.

The comedian also shared a video capturing a tense moment outside the governor’s office, where he and his sister were reportedly confronted by individuals demanding that they leave the premises. However, Kioko noted that security officers at the gate acted professionally and ensured his sister’s safety.

He expressed appreciation to the officers and said he had forgiven those who attempted to intimidate them.

“Asanteni sana to the officers who protected her. We forgive those who chased us away. What she needs is help, not threats,” Kioko said.

The dispute dates back to October 2025, when Kioko camped outside the Machakos governor’s office to protest unpaid dues owed to him by the county government. At the time, he revealed that the delayed payments had affected his ability to meet the medical expenses of his ailing sister.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on October 24, 2025, the former Churchill Show comedian detailed the challenges he faced while following up on the payments. He later sold his car and received support from well-wishers to facilitate his sister’s treatment in India.

Several months later, the issue remains unresolved. Kioko’s latest update suggests that efforts to secure an audience with the governor have once again stalled, prolonging a situation he says continues to take a heavy toll on his family.
